How to Kiteboard new graphics and design

We just had the graphics master Sheetz Design to do some face lifting on the kiteboarding how to instructional kitesurfing site - HowtoKiteboard.com. Check out the new header and some banners. We just filmed some new hd video with lessons that beginners to advanced kiteboarders will benefit from. New video on waterstarting, riding toeside, kite transitions, how to land softly with kite loops, and more. The video is going to be edited soon and up on the site. We also have a new general intro and closing to all the howtokiteboard.com videos. So look out for that as well!

Used Kiteboarding - Found a new site to buy used kites

Hey Guys!
I just found this new site for used kiteboarding gear. You can post items about your kites and boards for sale. They are nice people there. You can sell and purchase any new and used kite board accessories, bars, lines, straps, boards, kites, bladders, surf boards and anything else used kitesurfing related. You should check out the website and post up some of your old kites, since the next generation of kids who are getting into kitesurfing need a cheaper access into the sport. There is a section in the forum for Used Old style c - kites as well as newer kite style but still used bow and sle kites. If you are looking for a used/ second hand kiteboard the site is made for you. Let say you are looking for that used kite surf board that you have seen everybody riding in the waves, ocean and even flat water for practice, then used kiteboarding is a helpful site to find kite equipment for sale at.

Lots of Progress on HowToKiteboard.com

Here is a screen shot of the site. We have been slaving away as it is the off season and we aren't teaching daily. The menu system is up and running and we even have some content. We will continue to add content and get the pictures and rough draft videos up. If we get a good respnce from readers / viewers then we plan to redo the video and upgrade it the better quality. Let us know what you think as the site was built for you.

What are the five variables important to consider before riding?

Kiteboarding offers challenges and rewards, which are quite unique and powerful. One the most important things to understand is the kite. Think about going down hill skiing/snowboarding for the first time. You start on the bunny hill, cruise around, then you go to some green trails and get the hang of it. The wipeouts hurt sometimes, so the first time you see a Black Diamond run, you know there is no way you are ready for it! It's obvious to you that you need to practice easier runs first, because that Black Diamond run is way to steep.....you can easily see that. In kiteboarding you start out blind, in the sense that you don't know enough to stop at the Black Diamond stuff. You have to be a knowledgeable kiteboarder to even know what a "black trail" looks, feels, and sounds like. If you don't understand the balance between five crucial variables, your going from the bunny hill to triple black diamond......then maybe to the hospital. The five variables are: the wind speed, your weight, your skill, kite size, and kite performance. If you don't have this equation dialed....you will get a spanking. Kiteboarding is an intellectual's extreme sport. Mixing the knowledge of wind and wing theories like sailing; with the hand eye coordination of intense kite flying. Now let's also go wakeboarding....with a side order of spankings. This, my friend, is kiteboarding. Go get it.
